Can I just say wow, and thanks Dr. Ian! I keep looking for the wings on the back of Dr. Ian because he has been an angel to my daughter. He has totally changed her life. In less than a year she has went from having the most severe allergies most doctors have ever seen to being almost symptom free!
Let me start from the beginning…. Within a few weeks of our daughter being born we knew something was really wrong, but all we heard from the doctors was “she has bad colic and very bad cradle cap”. Trusting them since they were the “experts” we went with that and she cried ALL the time and NEVER slept more than a few hours at a time. We were at the doctors office quite often, but always hearing the same thing..”She should outgrow this shortly” By 4 months we were taking her to a pediatric dermatologist and were put on a “therapeutic ladder” with creams, ointments and such (which usually only made her cry MORE).
Then when no formulas worked (we tried them all milk based, soy, nutramigen, goat’s milk) we knew we were in serious trouble. We were automatically referred to a pediatric allergist, who did some testing and it revealed she was allergic to multiple foods. We were giving her elecare formula just to get her the nutrients she needed (she was still having trouble with that too). Her skin was so scaly never baby soft and at this point (18 months) her head was OOZING(seriously..oozing), and still we were told there “is nothing more we can do for your child, avoidance of the allergen is all you can do”. We were left to comfort our baby who was inconsolable—it was heart breaking to watch her itch so hard she made herself bleed in her SLEEP. She would whimper while sleeping..and we were helpless. Multiple nights I would rock her back to sleep only to collapse outside her bedroom door sobbing begging for relief for our baby. The next 3 years were kind of a blur of sleep depravation and pure fear that her anaphylactic peanut allergy could end her precious life all too soon.
Sorry for the rambling, but I wanted you to know part of our journey, before meeting Dr. Ian “the tickle Dr.” as we like to call him! After a dear friend of ours (who is a pharmacist) contacted us about Advanced Allergy Treatment, we knew we had to at least go check this out, what did we have to lose? We had heard no so many times we could at least meet the guy right? YES we were VERY skeptical, but also very open to anything that could help the miserable life our child was living. I’ll never forget our first meeting with Dr. Ian. After the initial consultation and testing we were shocked to learn that most of the foods we were feeding her that we thought were o.k. , she was actually reacting to. I’m not sure why I was so surprised, heck nothing should have shocked me by this point, but THEN Dr. Ian looked right in my eyes and said the words I will NEVER forget:
“I CAN help your child, I CAN make this better, she CAN have a normal childhood and I am SOOO happy you found me!” What?!?!? Did I just hear that correctly? You CAN help my child? So, in September we started the treatments, and we’ve seen nothing but GREAT unbelievable results..for both of us!(I’m also getting treated now too) My sinuses are so clear, it’s crazy to think I never knew any different. Our daughter’s skin is so much clearer, the oozing on her head has gone AWAY, she’s eating some of the foods we thought she’d NEVER be able to have. Most importantly, she is so much happier!!! And she sleeps THROUGH THE NIGHT!!! I know it seems impossible, we thought so too, but I SWEAR it works(and NOT because she has outgrown her severe allergies). We were so close to not going to meet Dr. Ian—we thought there is no way he can help us…I am here today to tell you we were so very very wrong. Our daughter is one of the worst child’s case he has ever seen and we are seeing amazing results. It has changed our lives FOREVER! After only four treatments my allergy symptoms related to dust,dust mites,mold and sinus congestion were cured.What a wonderful feeling.
I have to say that AAT has been the most amazing treatment for allergies I have ever encountered. I’ve tried shots, drugs, and was considering moving my family just to try and miminize the amount of allergies in my life. I went into the Wahl’s of Wellness skeptical, but after the first few treatments I signed up my husband and two children as well. Not only did Dr. Ian & Dr. Gwen cure my terrible seasonal, pet and household allergies, but also the food allergies. I also had many other allergies and sensitivities I didn’t even realize were affecting me – they weren’t the types of things that show up on a scratch or blood test. Once they were cured, I was able to get off of most of my many medications, including those for pain and digestive issues. I have been going to the Midwest Allergy Relief clinic for several months and have seen a difference in being able to eat foods without reactions and from interacting with sources that caused skin conditions. I no longer take nasal spray for relief. Dr. Ian Wahl, Beverly and Gwen have been great to work with. Everyone makes you feel comfortable there. As well as the procedure itself is so noninvasive: no shots, needles or scratch tests!
I don’t understand how this little machine works…but it WORKS! I was scratch tested for allergies and the allergist told me in 20 years of practice she had never seen anyone react to almost every allergen tested like I did! I have gone through allergy shots and found that they offered only temporary relief and did absolutely nothing for my food allergies. I have always lived in a constant state of congestion and have never been able to breath through my nose at night. After only 3 visits, I am already sleeping better because I am no longer reacting to dust mites and I can now breath through my nose! I am finally looking forward to my favorite season.,autumn, symptom free for the first time ever!
